Last Friday was so hard for me. I had to live a normal day with coffee, work and all the other normal day to day BS that I have to live prior to going to see the greatest Disney band EVER... Joe Jonas! I mean, The Jonas Brothers!

If you read my blog you know that my very good friend purchased these very expensive tickets (3rd row) to see JB at The Cricket Pavillion in Phoenix. This would have been "boss" for The Kidlet but she was in Houston with my mother for the week. What was a mama to do?

Everyone told me to sell the tickets but I couldn't do that. My friend mostly got the tickets due to my very sick fascination with 18 year old, Joe Jonas. I wanted to go to the concert. My dilemna was who I could take/drag with me. I wanted to force Miranda to fly out here and let us be wild, crazy "cougars" together but she already had plans...ugh!

So, I beg my friend that we will call C. He was reluctant but he finally agreed. Here are my photos, take note the love in Joe's eyeballs while staring at me...

C's response when I ask him to pose like he is SUPER-PSYCHED for Joe! Take note of the hat, dark t-shirt and long sleeved button down. He also wore sunglasses through 85% of the show...he should just tell his friends that he loves the Jo Bros and stop living "in the closet".

Joe, this was an excellent show. I love you, I know that you love me. One day we will look back on this silly blog and giggle. Or I will be arrested. Smooches bitches!!!

Don't hate me because Joe loves me. Really, don't do it....

The Kidlet and I were in Houston for the July 4th holiday. The night before we left was a bit chaotic. She wanted my attention, I was washing clothes, ironing and packing.

She was in the kitchen for a bit but I assumed that she was in there playing with her new Polly Pockets Car. I will not let her roll in on my carpet so the kitchen or the bathroom are the only alternative.

Fast forward to last night. I left her with my mom in Houston for the week. I was so tired so I drove to the grocery store and bought a frozen CPK pizza and a bottle of Pino Grigio and headed home to relax.

I pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees and start picking up around the house. After a few minutes I smell something. The "something" was not a pleasant scent like vanilla or french roses. It smelled as if something were burning but I know me, I rarely use my oven so it must be something else that I smelling.

I continue sorting through my suitcase from Houston, matching up the numerous pairs of shoes that I took on a 5 day trip. I am almost done and I swear that I smell smoke. Like real, burning, smoke.

I run into the kitchen and sure enough, black smoke is coming from my oven yet there is no CPK frozen pizza inside.

I pull open the oven door to find a wad of what was "at one time" bubble gum the size of my fist laying in the middle of my "rack" that has turned black and is now producing enough smoke that I could have easily caught the entire building on fire.

THE KIDLET IS GOING DOWN! And, I do not mean to FUNKY TOWN this time!!!

I suppose that this could be my fault for a few reasons:

1. I might have known that this "almost arson" was taking place sooner if I would have not yanked all five smoke detectors off the wall in a fit of rage a month ago when they were chirping and could not figure out why.

2. The night prior to leaving for Houston I left The Kidlet to herself for more than five minutes. This ALWAYS means trouble.

I just want to end this post with a note stating that I am the daughter of a 20 year veteran of the Houston Fire Department.... I am so glad that he taught me appropriate fire safety.

Moms, check your oven before you turn it on!!!!

And it sucks!

My moms parents have always been old, to me. I mean I have never known my grandmother to have anything but gray hair. I have always known them both the bitch and moan about aches and pains when it rained, snowed or was beautiful outside.

While in Houston for the last 6 days I noticed that they are really getting "up there" in age. I am not sure if it was when The Kidlet was hiding from Pawpaw and she was not being so quiet running around yet he could not hear her or if it was at my birthday dinner when Mawmaw announced that they recently visited a retirement home and we considering moving (if the price was right).

It just makes me so sad. I know that age is something that can't be stopped but to be honest I don't think that I have really ever thought about either of them not being around.

Things on Monday...

None go under Loves/Loathes just a common list...

* I am still in Houston, had a few appointments today and one cancellation.

* I am leaving in the morning to go home.

* I am about 90% sure that I am getting fired when I get back to the office.

* The Kidlet is staying the week with my mom and then goes back to her dad's... another four weeks alone.

* Why am I not closing some of these deals that are staring me in the face? Again, likely to get fired so it soon won't matter.

* Why does it cost so much to fly? Really I know this answer but $382.00 for a one way seems high to me.

* My birthday is right around the corner and not looking forward to seeing an additional candle on the cake.

* I need a haircut/color

So that was my Monday bitchfest. Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

Thank you for the heartfelt email. I really needed this today as this morning sucked hard. The Kidlet did not want to get out of bed then she demanded a vanilla popsicle for breakfast so, I gave it to her along with Red Bull and two cups of coffee. I don't know why she stays hyper all the time. Since it seems that you are so very close to God, could you ask him for me and report back?

I am so sorry to hear of your parents tragic end to their life, that blows. My dad is dead and so is my junior brother. They just left me some life insurance money, neither was royalty but they both thought that their "shit didn't stink"...that is one of the things that I loved about them both.

Now let's get down to business PC! Did the King (thank you, thank you very much) leave you $5,000 or $5,000,000? There is a huge difference. I mean for $5,000 I just don't think that I can help you. I mean I could make that slinging black tar heroin on the streets of my town. Please clarify, this will be a major deciding factor on if we can truly make this loving relationship work.

Yesterday was eye opening for me for several reasons of which I will keep to myself. It was a long day and The Kidlet had taken a bath and finished dinner. I told her that she had thirty minutes before it was officially "lights out". We read two new books and I started Curious George the movie for her.

She was laying in my bed watching the DVD when she calls for me saying that she is scared. This would normally work but she does this every night so I know the game by now.

I sit on the edge of the bed and rub her back for a few minutes when she rolls over and says, "Mommy, I am sorry that your daddy died. He is our angel now, right"? My heart melted. I am not sure where that came from as we have not talked about my dad in a while. However, I have a pocket watch sitting on my dresser that my mom had given to my dad on the day that I was born, it is gorgeous and inside it says, "To my daddy, Love, Kimberley" along with my birthdate.

The Kidlet loves to look at it although we don't really talk about it. She knows what it is and who it belongs to and why I now have it.

"Mommy, can I hold your daddy's pocket watch until I go to sleep tonight? I promise I won't break it".

My baby... I love her so much. I stood and grabbed it off of my dresser and she slept with it in her little 4 year old hand all night.

She does know how to put things into prospective for me. I love her.
